I have it for sale on my Etsy shop. I think this also expresses why I think youth should go out and vote on May 2nd. Because politicians will never listen to us until we have a voice. And if we're not voting, we have no voice. I think I will do this larger and do many more similar versions of this.

ReplyDeleteYou are so talented and witty. What a great combo for an artist. :)
Yes, jobs are very hard to come by these days, even with a college ed. Good luck. The painting really says it all and it's great. You've done a great job expressing how you feel. Happy PPF.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely can identify with this! Jobs are hard to find for older folks like me too. With all of our gov't issues today I may be working until I'm 90.
ReplyDeleteGreat work!

Love piece and such an authentic way to express yourself. Well Done! ;)
ReplyDeleteA very solemn and powerful piece.
ReplyDeleteSad to say this is true for so many people. College doesn't guarantee much anymore! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour art is a wonderful way to express yourself... So many can relate. It will make for an interesting series.

Great idea in this painting!! In Australia we have to vote, which I think is great, otherwise it's not the masses that get a say in how their country is run only the monied... people get pretty excited about elections here,, so try to make informed judgements (and avoid being fined for not voting) LOL... this is a strong piece of work & important message, well done!
ReplyDeleteGreat piece.....this picture is worth a thousand words...worth a communications job !
ReplyDeleteTrue what you say and happy to say my kids will be voting.
Great peice, maybe it should be a political poster! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteGreat point behind this piece - the dry wit reminds me of Banky's wonderful art work!! It is also a shame that it is true. I guess you are right about using your vote - I tend not to as voting in Northern Ireland is entirely tactical and I am weary of voting based on religion. I'll look forward to seeing more of this theme emerging - you have a great wit about all your artwork.
ReplyDeleteGreat and meaningful painting and post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great piece. And a very good point.
ReplyDeleteA great piece for PPF! Good luck with your move!
